BRCO Constructors Inc. is requesting the bids from Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) subcontractors for Lease-Leaseback Construction Services For the Improvements to Camino Union Elementary School Project

The Camino Union School District is requesting bids for the above project by Tuesday August 1, 2017 at 3 pm. ALL BIDS ARE DUE TO BRCO BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON MONDAY JULY 31, 2017. The project is a rebid from March 14, 2017. The work consists of demolition and reconfiguration of the parking lot, replacement of water and sewer lines, removal and replacement of concrete walks, relocation of the bus yard, and reconstruction of student and staff restrooms. The estimate is $4,000,000 and the estimated performance period is twelve (12) months.

This project’s contract delivery method (LEASE-LEASEBACK)requires, per AB 566 (O’Donnell) unless amended by future law, 30% of workforce must be graduates from a state approved apprenticeship program by January 1, 2016. Subsequent years are as follows: 40% by January 1, 2017, 50% by January 1, 2018, and 60% by January 1, 2019.. Compliance with the percentage requirements for the use of “skilled journeypersons” for each apprenticable occupation needs to be met as well as required monthly reports demonstrating compliance prior to and condition of payment.
