This project is subject to a Project Stabilization Agreement and this project is part of the BARTs Major Projects Stabilization Agreement (MPSA). Please contact Kamel as well if you have any questions regarding the scope of work of the project, project documents, and bid item break down.
Bonds
Subcontractor may be required to provide performance and payment bonds securing the performance of the Work and the payment of Sub-subcontractors. Should your firm be required to provide such bonds in the full amount of the base bid, add your bond premium as a percentage to the base bid. Written evidence of bonding capacity may be requested. Failure to provide such evidence will result in rejection of the bid. Public Works
A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal,
subject to requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engaged in performance of any contract for public work, as defined, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 of the Labor Code. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the
Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded.
Prevailing Wage
Pursuant to Section 1773 of the California Labor Code, the general prevailing rate of wages in the county in which the work is to be done, must be paid to all workers on Public Works projects such as this one. Rates can be obtained through the Department of Industrial Relations website at www.dir.ca.gov. As stated earlier this project is subject to a Project Stabilization Agreement and is this project part of the BARTs Major Projects Stabilization Agreement (MPSA).
Small Business
Stronghold Engineering, Inc. is strongly encouraging all Small Business Subcontractors and Suppliers to bid on this project including (SBE) (SDB) (WBE) (MBE) (DBE) - (UDBE) - (WOSB) - (VOSB) - (DVBE) - (SDVOSB) - (HUBZone) and any others not listed.
