Veterans Village will be a three-story, wood-frame structure over a post tensioned slab on grade. There will be 66 one bedroom units occupying all three floors of the building. The proposed project will be located on a 2.25 acre site along Mission Road in Colma, about one-half mile north of the South San Francisco BART Station. There will be community center with a social hall, meeting rooms, offices, and laundry, and there will also be a fitness center in the building. Additionally, an existing historic building on site will be renovated for use as a community room, maintenance office, bike storage, and gardening supply storage for a community garden. The building must be GPR certified under the HOME program and meet or exceed Title 24. The project will have two courtyards as well as a community garden and a dog park for the veterans.

The existing pump room shall be maintained and upgraded to a new common center and shall retain most of the historical features.
