RTA Construction, Inc. is seeking certified DBE subcontractors and vendors to provide services and materials for the following project: Construction on State Highway in Siskiyou County on Highway 97 at the Grass Lake Safety Roadside Rest Area, Contract No. 02-4E6804. The project will occur in Caltrans District 02 on Rout 97. The work will consist of constructing a well, updating water and wastewater system, curbs and HMA. RTA Construction, Inc. is requesting quotes from all qualified/certified DBE subcontractors and vendors for all items of work, including but not limited to the following bid items: (1) Lead Compliance Plan, (2) Construction Area Signs (3) Type III Barricade, (4) Temporary Traffic Stripe Tape, (5) Job Site Management, (6) Prepare Water Pollution Control Program, (7) Temporary Drainage Inlet Protection, (8) Temporary Fiber Roll, (9) Temporary Silt Fence, (10) Temporary Concrete Washout, (11) Remove Concrete, (12) Clearing and Grubbing, (13) Roadway Excavation, (14) Shoulder Backing, (15) Hydroseed, (16) Class 2 Aggregate Base, (17) Hot Mix Asphalt Type A, (18) Place Hot Mix Asphalt Dike Type A, (19) Tack Coat, (20) Cold Plane Asphalt Concrete Pavement, (21) 12 Inch Steel Flared End Section, (22) Remove Flared End Section, (23) Small Rock Slope Protection, (24) Minor Concrete Curb, (25) Minor Concrete Miscellaneous Construction, (26) Well Development, (27) Well Construction, (28) Testing Well, (29) Well Investigation, (30) Water Well Equipment (31) Well Disinfection, (32) Water Quality Testing, (33) Reconstruct Fence Type WM, (34) Reset Roadside Sign, (35) Relocate Roadside Sign Metal Post, (36) Relocate Roadside Sign Wood Post, (37) Thermoplastic Pavement Marking, (38) Thermoplastic Traffic Stripe Sprayable, (39) Building Work. Bids open Tuesday, 1/23/18. The Department will receive bids until 2:00pm on 1/23/18. The estimated cost of the project is $1,950,000. The DBE Contract goal is 10 percent. . RTA Construction, Inc. will work with qualified DBE subcontractors and vendors to develop custom scopes of work and supply.
DBE subcontractors and vendors must provide current certification. All subcontractors must have a current contractor’s license, insurance coverage, and worker’s compensation for the entire duration of the contract. All subcontractors will be required to enter a subcontractor agreement with RTA Construction, Inc.. Project plans and specifications can be viewed at our office location.
