Ghilotti Construction Company, Inc. is seeking certified DBE subcontractors, suppliers & truckers for construction (HOV Lanes) on Hwy. 101 in Marin & Sonoma Counties in and near Petaluma from 0.6 mile South of San Antonio Creek Bridge to 0.3 mile South of East Washington Street Overcrossing (04-MRN, SON-101-MRN 27.0/27.6 SON 0.0/4.5). Quotes requested include, but are not limited to, the following scopes of work: CONSTRUCTION AREA SIGNS, ROADSIDE SIGNS, SIGN STRUCTURE, CLEAN & PAINT STEEL, TRAFFIC CONTROL, MAINTAINING EXISTING TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ELEMENTS DURING CONSTRUCTION, TEMPORARY RAMP METERING SYSTEM, TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MONITORING STATION SYSTEM, TEMPORARY LIGHTING SYSTEM, MODIFYING EXISTING ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, TEMPORARY CRASH CUSHION MODULE, TEMPORARY HIGH-VISIBILITY FENCE, LIGHTING, LEAN CONCRETE BASE, PRECAST CONCRETE LAGGING, SOIL NAIL, COLD PLANE ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT, CLEAR & GRUB, STRUCTURAL CONCRETE, MINOR CONCRETE STRUCTURE, AIR BLOWN MORTAR-SHOTCRETE, AC DIKE, CIDH PILES, CONCRETE CURB & SIDEWALK - MISC., CONCRETE BARRIER, REINFORCING STEEL, METAL BEAM GUARD RAILING, THERMOPLASTIC STRIPING & PAVEMENT MARKINGS, PAVEMENT MARKING, FABRIC & OILS, LANDSCAPE/HIGHWAY PLANTING, EROSION CONTROL, IRRIGATION, STORM DRAIN (UNDERGROUND), STREET SWEEPING, MATERIAL SUPPLIER & TRUCKING. Engineer's Estimate: $24,200,000 / DBE Goal: 12% / 375 WD / $13,500 per day LD. Submit quotes by Noon on bid date. Contact our estimator for more information. GCC may also assist in obtaining any necessary equipment, supplies, materials or related services. (Please note: G.C.C. may require Payment & Performance Bonds on all sub-contracts over $25,000 per Ca. Public Contract Code Sect. 4108. G.C.C. will pay bond premiums up to 1 ½% of contract cost. G.C.C. is a UNION CONTRACTOR. Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign an agreement for trades covered under our agreements.)
Plans, specifications and project requirements may be reviewed at our office in Santa Rosa. They may also be downloaded for free through the Department of Transportation via their website at http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/esc/oe/contract_awards_services.html. Plans may also be viewed or purchased through local plan rooms, builder's exchanges, or Dodge Scan. Ghilotti Construction Company encourages the use of minority and women subcontractors and suppliers and considers such to be an important aspect of the project.
Req: By submitting a proposal, the bidder affirms that they have carefully examined ALL the bidding documents/Addenda and that from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work. GCC's written subcontract document execution is required of all successful subcontract bidders. A copy is available for inspection on GCC's website (www.ghilotti.com/subcontractors/documents) and/or can be provided upon written request prior to bid submission. Inconsistent bid terms and conditions shall be void.
Insurance: As per our insurance requirements, your bid must include the cost of naming GCC as additional insured; including completed operations coverage; Use form 'CG-2010-1185' or equivalent; include Primary and Non-Contributing wording on your certificate of insurance and waiver of subrogation is required.
