Tomales Fire Station Reconstruction

We are seeking quotes for: Concrete, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Acoustical Ceiling, Flooring, Grading & Paving.

This is a PREVAILING WAGE PROJECT. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing wage rates for Marin County where the work is to be done have been determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. These wages are set forth in the General Prevailing Wage Rates for this project, available at the State of California Division of Labor Statistics and research web site at https://www.dir.ca.gov/OPRL/DPreWageDetermination.htm.

MBE, WBE, and DBE subcontractors and suppliers are encouraged to bid on this project.

Demolition of existing 1970, single story, wood framed, fire station with board and batten siding, which is inadequate for current fire department operations. Demolition of associated site paving and utilities. Recycling of demolition and construction waste is a requirement of LEED and the project scope of work.

Provide new 8,653 S.F. pre-engineered metal building fire station on the same site. Project shall be engineered to meet all CBC 2016 essential services building regulations. The building includes the front office entry area, living and dining area, sleeping rooms, fitness room, apparatus bays, turnout room, workshop, mechanical equipment attic and electrical, plumbing and IT rooms. The exterior building appearance consists of exterior corrugated & flat cement board siding, sloped metal roof panels, storefront glazing and high windows, glazed sectional garage doors, exterior building signage and lighting. A roof mounted photovoltaic system is included in the project. Project shall comply with all Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) codes and regulations.

Site features include, but are not limited to, native planting, bio-retention areas for storm water management, site parking and paving, flagpole, relocated gas pump, relocated temporary self-supporting communications tower, new self-supporting communications tower, existing well with new onsite water system, emergency generator, water storage tanks, and new on-site septic system for greater capacity.

As of August 29, 2018, Addendum Nos. 1, 2, 3 & 4 have been issued.
