Description of the project: New construction and 8 acres of site work for a new 44,000 SF Mechatronic Education and Training Center on the Greenwood Campus of Piedmont Technical College.
Scope of work includes: Earthwork, site improvements, utilities, cast-in-place concrete, polished concrete, masonry, structural steel framing, miscellaneous steel, rough carpentry, interior architectural woodwork, waterproofing, insulation, EIFS, fluid applied air barrier, metal roof and decorative wall panels, TPO roofing, roofing accessories, firestopping, joints and sealants, doors and frames, door hardware, overhead doors, aluminum entrances and storefronts, glazed curtain walls, skylights, mirrors, fixed louvers, drywall, acoustical panel ceilings, metal plank ceiling system, resilient flooring, carpet, sanitary wall finishes, painting, high performance coatings, visual display boards, signage, toilet compartments and accessories, operable panel partitions, fire extinguishers and cabinets, lockers, projection screens, roller shades, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and communications, and fire alarm.
Goals for this project are: 32% minority and 6.9% female participation.

This project will be partially funded with Federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA Investment No 04-01-07250) and therefore subject to Federal laws and regulations associated with that program. Refer to EDA Guidelines and Forms included in the project manual for additional information.
The successful subcontractor will be expected to enter into M.B. Kahn's Subcontract Agreement, comply with the insurance requirements and if required furnish a performance and payment bond. Form of subcontract and performance and payment bond may be reviewed at M.B. Kahn's website www.mbkahn.com .
