Tutor Perini Corporation, an EEO Employer, is currently soliciting cost proposals from Qualified and Certified M/WBE subcontractors / vendors / service providers, for Contract S - 48006, CBTC 8th AVENUE LINE (59th STREET TO HIGH STREET) "B" DIVISION (IND) IN THE BOROUGHS OF MANHATTAN AND BROOKLYN PROJECT IN THE BOROUGHS OF MANHATTAN AND BROOKLYN, NY of Client: Port Authority of THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY ACTING BY THE NYCTA. The work to be performed consists of signal system modernization for the 30th Street and 42nd Street lnterlockings, on the 8th Avenue Line, IND in the Borough of Manhattan, and the complete CBTC Signal System Overlay on the 8th Avenue Line from 59th Street in Manhattan to High Street in Brooklyn. Design, safety-certify, furnish, install, test and commission a complete, failsafe, redundant CBTC Signal System. The design of the CBTC system (Zone Controllers, Carborne Controllers, Databases, Operating Systems, ), all subsystems (Data Communication System, CBTC Radio Network, Transponders, Automatic Train Supervision, etc.) and the internal and external technical interfaces to existing systems (AWS, SSI, PLC, Carborne Networks, etc.) shall be in accordance with New York City Transit's System Functional Specifications, Interoperability and Interface Specifications; EMC, Communications, Software and Safety Certification Requirements for Communications-Based Train Control Systems.
