We are seeking bids from MBE/WBE for trucking services.

The Santa Barbara County Flood Control & Water Conservation District is receiving cost proposals for Blanket Trucking Services Agreements for Fiscal Years 2019/20 and 2020/21 (July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020). The selected contractor(s) will provide trucking services for the hourly rates quoted in the proposal with a "not to exceed" amount of $1,000,000 or other amount as ratified by the District. All services will be provided at the direction of the Flood Control District.

WORK TO BE PERFORMED

Work provided for under this Blanket Services Agreement will be done on an hourly rate basis for work actually performed. All work performed will be at the direction of the County Public Works Director or his designee in the Flood Control District. The Contractor will not be compensated for work not authorized by the Public Works Director or his designee for work above the contract amount unless said work is confirmed in writing.

HOURLY RATES

The hourly rates bid by the Contractor shall include all costs associated with providing the service including the specified type of truck, a driver/operator, and other materials necessary to provide trucking services. The hourly rates bid are to include all costs for preparation of the equipment and transit time required to report to and from the work site. Separate compensation will not be allowed for transit time to and from the worksite at the beginning and end of the day. The Contractor will be compensated only for time while under the direction of the Public Works Director or his designee.
