Kerex Engineering, Inc. is requesting quotes from all qualified DBE & Non-DBE subcontractors and suppliers for the following items of work including but not limited to: The Project is located at Francisco Boulevard East between Vivian Street and Grand Avenue and is described as follows: Installation of new sidewalk, curb, gutter, retaining walls, storm drain, hot mix asphalt, electrical, signing/striping, and landscaping.; and such miscellaneous work, including removal of concrete forms, disposal off-site of all unsuitable materials, and cleanup of the site. The Project must be completed within 200 working days from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. City anticipates that the Work will begin on or about June 2020, but the anticipated start date is provided solely for bidding purposes and the convenience of the City and is neither certain nor binding.

Kerex Engineering, Inc. can assist in payment of a reasonable bond premium. A 100% payment bond and performance bond may be required for the full amount of the subcontract price. Please provide a bond premium rate with your quote. If you have any questions, need assistance in obtaining bonding, lines of credit, insurance, equipment, supplies, materials or related assistance in services, please contact Patrick Madden at our office. Please note that no contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor's license, insurance and workers compensation coverage meeting the owner's requirements and will be required to sign the standard Kerex Engineering, Inc. subcontract agreement. Plans and Specifications are available to be viewed in our office located at 3478 Buskirk Ave. Suite 1000, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523 between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM Monday through Friday by appointment or you can send a request for this project and we will send you the specs/plans.
