Project Details

SOW: The project consists of performing work within a navigable waterway; removing and repairing portions of a pier fender; removing and replacing two 9-pile dolphin clusters; installation of an access pier to the bridge machinery room; removal of a cable tower; removing and disposal of excess and waste material; cleaning of the site at the end of the job.

RES is seeking quotes from qualified MBE (15% Goal) and WBE (5% Goal) subcontractors and vendors for the following items: Trucking - Off Haul of Timber Pilings to 28243 Industrial Blvd - Hayward/Prepare Water Pollution Control Plan/Tug Boat Push Services/Traffic Control System & Plan/Construction Surveys/Timber Piling/Timber including: Pile Caps/ Stringers (4"x10")/ Blocking (4"x10")/Cross Bracing (4"x12")/Facing (4"x8")/Rail (4"x8")/UHMW Plastic Lumber/Hardware.

Due to the long lead time anticipated for timber piles and lumber, a limited notice to proceed will be issued first in order to order the timber piles and timber decking. All work within the estuary must be conducted between June 15 and November 30, 2021 in compliance with the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission Permit.

It is the Subcontractor's responsibility to check the DropBox site often for any updates/addenda. R.E. Staite will require subcontractors to comply with insurance policies and limits as indicated in the specifications (EXHIBIT C COUNTY OF ALAMEDA MINIMUM INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS). RES will also require a waiver of subrogation and will require USL&H insurance for any work performed over the water. Bonding may be required.
