D.A. Collins Construction Co., Inc. welcomes quotes from all qualified subcontractors, services, material suppliers, and trucking firms for complete or portions of the work for all phases.

The following is a general description of work to be done under this contract within the work limits shown on the general plans. The intent is to give the Contractor a general description of the work involved and is not a complete listing of the work to be done. All work shall be done in accordance with the contract documents.

-Installation of Detour Route Signs
-Closure of the Existing Route 9 Ramp from Quay Street to Clinton Avenue
-Installation and Maintenance of the Required Stormwater Pollution Prevention and Erosion Control Measures
-Perform Bridge Repairs on BIN 109288 A and BIN 109288 B



-Removal of the Existing Route 9 Ramp from Quay Street to Clinton Avenue
-Installation of Fire Department Connections
-Installation of Retaining Walls
-Installation of Concrete Barrier
-Installation of Shade Structure
-Installation of Overhead Sign Structure
-Construction of Sidewalks, Multi-Use Path, Planters, Site Lighting and Other Landscaping Elements
-Sign Installation
-Site Restoration and Clean up

Each bidder shall take note of the following:

-Any subcontracts, agreement for services or purchase orders will be subject to the Owner's mandatory contract flow down requirements.

-Insurance Requirements: Please be sure to review the insurance requirements. Subcontractors will be required to fulfill these requirements.

-Equal Employment Opportunity: The Subcontractor shall undertake or continue existing programs of affirmative action to ensure that minority group members and women are afforded equal employment opportunities. It is the responsibility of all subcontractors to undertake good faith efforts to assist D.A. Collins Environmental Services, LLC in achieving the workforce participation goals established for this project. Goals: Minority 3.20% and Female 6.90%

-Prevailing Wage Rates: This is a public works project; therefore, prevailing wage rates are applicable. Use this link to access rates.

-In submitting a quote, the vendor assures that there is no conflict of interest or detrimental effect in accordance with Article 6 of the Proposal.

-In order to comply with New York State contracts Article 19, all subcontractors/vendors will be required to provide names of any former New York State employees in their employment.
