Project Details

Ghilotti Construction Company, Inc. is seeking certified DBE subcontractors, suppliers & truckers for construction on the Hayward Maintenance Complex (Phase 2) Civil Grading. Quotes requested include, but are not limited to, the following scopes of work: FABRIC & OILS, CONSTRUCTION AREA SIGNS, TRAFFIC CONTROL, DEMOLITION / BRIDGE REMOVAL, CLEAR & GRUB, ASPHALT PAVING, GRADING, CIDH PILES, CONCRETE STRUCTURE, EROSION CONTROL, REINFORCING STEEL, CONCRETE CURB & SIDEWALK, FENCING, SURVEYOR, WATER TRUCK, SWEEPER, STORM DRAIN (UNDERGROUND), 8" PVC SEWER MAIN C900 CLASS 200 PVC (8FT TO 10FT DEEP TRENCH), SANITARY SEWER MANHOLES, SHEET PILE WALL, MATERIAL SUPPLIER & TRUCKING. Engineer's Estimate: $35,000,000 - $45,000,000 / DBE Goal: 28% / 455 WD / $10,000 per day LD. Submit quotes by Noon on bid date. Contact our estimator for more information. Mr. Mark Mahboubi (707/585-1221 or markm@ghilotti.com) is the Estimator for this project and is available to provide you with assistance to clarify any questions regarding the scope of work, including interpretation of plans, specifications and requirements, bid preparation and obtaining bonds, lines of credit, insurance and any technical assistance. GCC may also assist in obtaining any necessary equipment, supplies, materials or related services. (Please note: GCC may require Payment & Performance Bonds on all sub-contracts over $25,000 per Ca. Public Contract Code Sect. 4108. GCC will pay bond premiums up to 1 ½% of contract cost. GCC is a UNION CONTRACTOR. Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign an agreement for trades covered under our agreements.)

Plans, specifications and project requirements may be reviewed at our office in Santa Rosa. Prospective Bidders or Interested Parties (including prospective Subcontractors of any tier) who are not currently registered on the BART Procurement Portal to do business with BART are required to register on the BART Procurement Portal on line at www.suppliers.bart.gov in order to download the Contract Documents (including Contract Drawings and Contract Specifications), updates, and any Addenda issued on line and be added to the On-Line Planholders List for this solicitation. Plans may also be viewed or purchased through local plan rooms, builder's exchanges, or viewed at a GCC closer to your location. Ghilotti Construction Company encourages the use of minority and women subcontractors and suppliers and considers such to be an important aspect of the project.

By submitting a proposal, the bidder affirms that they have carefully examined ALL the bidding documents/Addenda and that from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work. GCC's written subcontract document execution is required of all successful subcontract bidders. A copy is available for inspection on GCC's website (www.ghilotti.com/subcontractors/documents) and/or can be provided upon written request prior to bid submission. Inconsistent bid terms and conditions shall be void.

Insurance: As per our insurance requirements, your bid must include the cost of naming GCC as additional insured; including completed operations coverage; Use form 'CG-2010-1185' or equivalent; include Primary and Non-Contributing wording on your certificate of insurance and waiver of subrogation is required.
