Union Labor Project "

The work under this contract consists generally of removal of existing relay- based electrical control system, control desk and instrumentation, thyristor motor drives, wound-rotor motors, and related components; furnishing and installation of Programmable Logic Controller system, control desk and instrumentation, variable frequency motor drives, inverter duty motors, fiber optic aerial droop cables, bridge lightning protection system and related work at PATH's Hackensack River Vertical-Lift Bridge and the vicinity thereof in Hudson County, New Jersey.

The principal features of the Work to be performed and equipment to be provided for this Project under this Contract includes:
1. Bridge Controls Supplier and Integrator - Experience in providing electrical control systems for movable bridges and shall be able to identify a minimum of 5 vertical lift movable bridges for which the system entity has provided complete systems, including solid-state drive motor control and PLCs, within the last 10 years.
2. Mechanical supply and Installation of Movable Bridge Equipment including:
a) Limit Switches
b) Motor Thyristor Drives
c) Line Reactors
d) Motor Drives
e) Load Reactors
f) Inverter Duty Motors
g) Flux Vector Drives
3. Environmental Abatement - Lead Abatement
4. Bridge Lightning Protection"

The Bidder will be required to quote in compliance with all project plans and specifications. Non-Disclosure Agreements are provided when applicable. Addenda is posted and notification is sent to all invited bidders.

Insurance Requirements
Upon award, Subcontractors must provide insurance in accordance with our subcontract agreement. A copy of the subcontractor agreement can be found in SmartBidNet Project Plan Room.

Bonding Requirements
For subcontracts the Bidder shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds equal to the full subcontract price. For Material Contracts, the bidder shall furnish Supply Bonds in amount equal to full Material Contract price. Bond premiums are reimbursable by Kiewit/Mass. Electric Construction Co.
