Project Details

Kerex Engineering, Inc. is requesting quotes from all qualified DBE & Non-DBE subcontractors and suppliers for the following items of work including but not limited to; SWPPP, Traffic Control, Trucking, Demolition, Concrete, Traffic Markings, Landscape, Electrical and HMA. The work to be done generally consists of repair and restoration of a 250 foot stretch of northbound Happy Valley Road, approximately 0.2 mile southeast of the intersection of Happy Valley Road and Bear Creek Road. The work will reconstruct the northbound lane and restore two-way traffic to this portion of Happy Valley Road. The work includes installing an approximately 68 foot long soldier pile retaining wall with necessary safety railing and barrier on the east side of the roadway to support the reconstructed roadway and repairing settled roadway affected by the eroded embankment with structural backfill and asphalt surface. Drainage improvements will also be installed. Such miscellaneous work, including removal of concrete forms, disposal off-site of all unsuitable materials, and cleanup of the site.

Kerex Engineering, Inc. can assist in payment of a reasonable bond premium. A 100% payment bond and performance bond may be required for the full amount of the subcontract price. Please provide a bond premium rate with your quote. If you have any questions, need assistance in obtaining bonding, lines of credit, insurance, equipment, supplies, materials or related assistance in services, please contact Patrick Madden at our office. Please note that no contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor's license, insurance and workers compensation coverage meeting the owner's requirements and will be required to sign the standard Kerex Engineering, Inc. subcontract agreement. Plans and Specifications are available to be viewed in our office located at 4941 Pacheco Blvd. Martinez, CA. 94553 between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM Monday through Friday by appointment or you can send a request for this project and we will send you the specs/plans.
