North Carolina HUB program

North Carolina's Office of Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) is in charge of implementing policies that will increase the state's contracting with minority, women, and disabled-owned business enterprises.

With a HUB certification program, companies are added to the state's Vendor Link NC database, which is used by state agencies, public institutions, and the private sector to located HUBs for publicly-funded contracts.

In addition to listing in the Vendor Link NC, HUBs receive assistance with bid preparation, marketing strategies, financing referrals, and more.

Does this local/state program offer reciprocal certifications with other local/state programs? North Carolina has provided application forms for applying for reciprocal certification as a HUB when already certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) by the North Carolina Department of Transportation, or as certain other certifications by certain entities in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, or Virginia.

How do I get re-certified? North Carolina provides a standardized recertification application form for HUBs.
