Government Contracting Certifications for Small Business

The Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) for San Diego, Orange, and Imperial counties is hosting a webinar on government certifications for small businesses. The webinar will focus in particular on the certifications available at the federal level through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the state of California. SBA certifications covered will include the 8(a) Business Development Program, the Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) certification, the HUBZone certification, and the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) certification. California state certifications covered will include the Small Business certification, the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise certification, and the new Small Business (for the purpose of Public Works) certification. For all certifications, attendees will learn the process of applying, requirements for certification, how these certifications can benefit businesses in seeking government procurement work, and more.
