Milwaukee County sets DBE goal for FAA funding
Published on 07/02/2013
Milwaukee County has proposed an overall disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) goal of 20.3 percent for all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-assisted projects between Fiscal Years 2014 and 2016.

The county expects the FAA to contribute $130.5 million toward aviation-related construction and professional services contracts between October 1, 2013 and ending September 30, 2016, but before receiving the money it is required to establish an overall DBE participation goal.

To reach the goal of 20.3 percent, Milwaukee County followed a methodology recommended by the FAA that takes into account the eligibility and availability of DBEs for aviation-related contracts.

Stakeholders in construction, professional, and aviation-related industries are invited to review the goal-setting methodology and submit comments on the proposed DBE goal. A hard copy of the deport and methodology is available to the public at:

Community Business Development Partners
2711 W. Wells Street, City Campus, Room 830
Milwaukee, WI 53208
Tel. 414-278-4747

An electronic copy is available online here. Comments can be sent to CBDPcompliance@milwcnty.com. The county will accept public comments until July 31, 2013. All comments submitted will be included in the final version of the DBE report as required by federal regulations.
