Arizona reviews DBE participation in new study

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is undertaking a study that will help the department determine whether minority and women-owned businesses have equal access to public contracts in the state.
The U.S. Department of Transportation mandated-study will examine whether a disparity exists between the availablitly of disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs) and their expected level of participation on ADOT's federally-funded contracts. Furthermore, the study will evaluate the department's current efforts to facilitate DBE participation on its contracts.
The results of the study, which is expected be completed in late Summer 2015, will be used by ADOT to establish a three-year DBE participation goal and modify the administration of the department's DBE program.
Prime contractors, minority and women-owned businesses, and other construction industry stakeholders are invited by ADOT to take part in the study. For more information on how to participate, send an email to
