Published on 08/21/2017

The Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District's (Santa Cruz METRO) Board of Directors is hosting a hearing on August 25th where members of the public can provide feedback regarding its proposed three-year disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) goal.

For fiscal years 2018, 2019, and 2020, Santa Cruz METRO intends to award at least 1.93 percent of all contracts to DBEs certified through California's Unified Certification Program.

As a recipient of Federal Transit Administration funding, the District is required to set an overall DBE participation goal.

The public hearing will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Santa Cruz City Council Chambers, 809 Center Street, Santa Cruz, California.

The public can also submit written comments by email to DBE@scmtd.com or to the Federal Transit Administration, Civil Rights Office, Region IX, 201 Mission Street, Suite 1650, San Francisco, CA 94105. Written comments will be accepted until August 24th, 2017.
