Greensboro disparity study meetings rescheduled
Published on 09/18/2017

The City of Greensboro is in the process of deciding how best to receive public comment on the subject of its upcoming disparity study, which will examine disparities in city contracting participation with regard to minority, woman, and disadvantaged business enterprises (M/W/DBEs).

Initially, two public hearings were scheduled for September 12 and September 13 of 2017, at which members of the public were to be invited to speak about their experiences with doing business with the City. However, the consultants conducting the study on behalf of the City have announced the hearing have been re-scheduled for September 27th and September 28th.

The Greensboro community is encouraged to participate by all means available, including by way hearings, meetings, and focus groups that will be made available during the course of the year-long study.

Additionally, an email address is provided at the Greensboro 2018 Study website to which members of the public are encouraged to send comments - positive or negative - regarding the study. The comments will be reproduced in the study but will be anonymized at that time.
