WSDOT accepting DBE contracting goal comments

The public is invited to submit comments to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) regarding its proposed Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for all Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funded contracts awarded between 2018 and 2020.

During the three-year period, WSDOT is aiming to award 19 percent of contracts that receive FHWA dollars to DBEs. A majority of this goal will be awarded with the use of DBE participation subcontracting goals on individual WSDOT contracts.

WSDOT is holding three public comment meetings between November 28, November 29, and December 7 in Spokane, Vancouver, and Shoreline, respectively.

Additionally, the department will host a webinar on December 5 for those who cannot attend the meetings.
