WSDOT hosting disparity study findings meetings
Published on 12/02/2019

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is hosting three public informational meetings on the results of its recently-conducted disparity study. The study examined disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) utilization in the state, specifically evaluating data for 64 airports in the state to determine whether DBEs have equal access to procurement opportunities from those airports. All airport construction or consulting projects in the state receiving funding from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are thus part of the scope of the study.

Those who participated in the study or have any interest in receiving procurement work from Washington state airports are encouraged to attend to hear the findings of the study. The study will not also include its findings but recommendations for improvements in DBE contracting and will be used to keep the DBE program in the state on a legally defensible footing.

The three meetings will be held in these times and places:

Thursday, December 5th, 2019 (6 PM-8 PM)
South Seattle Community College
Georgetown Campus
6737 Corson Ave. S.

Tuesday, December 10th, 2019 (6 PM-8PM)

Thursday, December 12th, 2019 (6 PM-8 PM)
