WSDOT hosting virtual meetings, invites comments on triennial DBE goals
Published on 06/26/2020

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has proposed new participation goals for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) for the triennial period of fiscal years 2021 through 2023. Accordingly, WSDOT is inviting public comment on the goals and will be holding several virtual public meetings for discussion of the goals.

The goals for the period are 19 percent DBE participation on Federal Highways Administration funded projects, 4.8 percent DBE participation on Federal Transit Administration funded projects, and 10.4 percent DBE participation on Federal Aviation Administration funded projects.

WSDOT has scheduled three public meetings in order for interested members of the public to comment on the goals. The first will take place Monday, July 6th, 2020, at 10 AM to 11:30 AM. The second will take place Wednesday, July 8th, 2020, at 10 AM to 11:30 AM. The meetings on July 6th and 8th will take place via webinar. There will also be a telephone conference meeting on Friday, July 10th, 2020, at 10 AM to 11:30 AM. Attendees will need to register in advance, and can do so by emailing Allison Spector at Allison.Spector@wsdot.wa.gov. Details about how to participate will be provided upon registering.

Comments on the proposed goals will be accepted until 5 PM on Friday, July 24th, 2020 and can be submitted via email to Allison.Spector@wsdot.wa.gov, or physically mailed to:
