The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), as required by law, has issued its triennial goals for disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) participation in contracts receiving funding from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) during fiscal years 2021-2023. The goal has been set at 11.18 percent, with the race/gender-conscious portion of the goal being 8.54 percent and the race/gender-neutral portion being 2.64 percent.
The methodology used in establishing the overall goal will be available for review, inspection, and comment until Thursday, August 27, 2020 at http://www.virginiadot.org/business/bu-civil-rights-home.asp. Sharon Plymire of the Virginia Department of Transportation, Civil Rights Division, will also be available from 9 AM to 4 PM (at sharon.plymire@vdot.virginia.gov or at 804-786-4441) for assistance regarding inspection of the methodology document.
There will also be a visual/teleconference presentation of the methodology used to establish the goal on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 2 PM.
