Capital Area Transportation Authority sets DBE participation goal
Published on 09/29/2020

The Capital Area Transportation Authority (CATA) has released its disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) participation goal for fiscal years 2021 through 2023. As a recipient of federal transportation funding, CATA is required to set goals for DBE participation in its procurement.

The goal set by CATA is 2.57 percent DBE participation on all projects receiving federal funding. This goal is to be met using race- and gender-neutral means.

The goal and the methodology used to reach the goal will be available for inspection at CATA’s Administrative Facility located at 4615 Tranter Street, Lansing, MI 48910, during normal business hours (8 AM to 5 PM), for thirty days following the original publication date of the notice (that date being September 28th, 2020).

Both CATA and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) will be accepting comments on the goal and its methodology during that same thirty-day period. Comments may be sent to CATA at: CATA DBE Program, Purchasing Department, 4615 Tranter Street, Lansing, MI 48910, or sent to purchasing@cata.org via email. Comments may be sent to the FTA at: Regional Civil Rights Officer-Region V, Federal Transit Administration, 200 West Adams, Suite 320, Chicago, IL 60606.

For the original notice of the goal, see https://www.cata.org/Portals/0/Public%20Notice.pdf.
