St. Petersburg initiates MWBE disparity study

The City of St. Petersburg has initiated a disparity study which will examine potential disparities in utilization of minority- and woman-owned businesses (MWBEs) in City procurement.

The study will determine not only if there is a disparity between available MWBEs and actual utilization of MWBEs during the period studied, but is expected to make recommendations for remedying the disparity if so, and will form part of the legal basis for implementing such remedies. The study will cover the fields of construction, professional services, and goods and services.

Local MWBEs are encouraged to provide feedback through the Community Survey at https://www.stpete.org/with_the_city/disparity_study.php. The City will be accepting feedback until December 7th, 2020.
