City of Gardena sets Triennial DBE Goal, will hold Public Consultation Meeting

The City of Gardena has announced its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) utilization goal for fiscal years 2022 through 2024, as required by law as a recipient of federal transportation funding. The goal has been set at 4 percent of all Federal Transit Administration (FTA) assisted funds for that period to be spent with DBEs.

The goal and its methodology will be available for inspection and public review for 30 days following the date of the original notice (June 22, 2021), from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday, at the City of Gardena's Transportation Administrative Office located at 13999 S. Western Ave, Gardena, CA 90249. The Office may also be reached by phone at (310) 965-8888. The goal and methodology document may also be read at the link at the bottom of this notice. Additionally, the City of Gardena will accept comments for 45 days from the date of the original notice (June 22, 2021). Comments can be forwarded to the City at the previously stated Gardena address, or to the Regional Civil Rights Officer, U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transportation Administration, Region IX, 90 Seventh Street, Suite 15-300, San Francisco, California 94103-6701.

The City of Gardena will also be hosting a DBE Public Consultation Meeting over Zoom. Business and community members that may have information concerning the availability of disadvantaged businesses and comments on the City’s proposed DBE overall goal and corresponding methodology are encouraged to attend and share feedback.
