Los Angeles County is expanding its Community Business Enterprise (CBE) program to include a certification for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning (LGBTQQ) business owners, for businesses at least 51 percent owned and controlled by LGBTQQ individuals.
Once certified, LGBTQQ-owned CBEs will eligible to be considered for the 25 percent participation goal the County attaches to CBEs. Certification will be handled by recognizing National LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) certifications or the Supplier Clearinghouse as authorized through the California Public Utilities Commission.
