WisDOT seeks comment on revised triennial DBE participation goal

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is seeking public comment on its proposed DBE participation goal for the triennial period of 2024 through 2026. WisDOT is required to set such DBE participation goals as a recipient of federal transportation funding.

The proposed DBE participation goal for the period has been set at 12.42 percent. WisDOT is seeking comments, questions, and concerns from any interested parties on the DBE participation goal, and has published a survey (available at https://forms.office.com/g/j61LLF7mFW) for those wishing to submit their comments. The comment period for the goal runs through July 1, 2023.

"Establishing goals for participation broadens our focus on quality programming to ensure DBE firms get the tools and education they need to most effectively compete for state highway work," said WisDOT Secretary Craig Thompson in a statement.
