Indianapolis to host public meetings on upcoming disparity study
Published on 06/12/2024

The City of Indianapolis' Office of Minority and Women Business Development (OMWBD) is conducting a disparity study into conditions for minority and women-owned businesses (MWBEs), and, in particular, to determine if such businesses are underutilized by the City relative to their availability in the area. The 2024 disparity study follows the 2019 disparity study the City conducted, and it is expected that the five-year cycle of such studies will continue.

The City will be hosting two public outreach meetings on the disparity study which will provide information about the study itself and give members of the public a means to provide feedback about their experiences, which may form part of the conclusions of the study. Both public meetings will take place on June 18th, 2024, at 10 AM and then again at 3 PM. Both meetings will be dual virtual and in-person, with the in-person event being held at IndyPL Library's Central Branch, 40 E. St Clair St. Indianapolis, IN 46204. Attendees may register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/indianapolis-disparity-study-kick-off-meeting-tickets-897685239717.
