The Iowa Department of Transportation (Iowa DOT) is currently in the process of setting its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal for fiscal years 2026 through 2028. All recipients of transportation funding from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) are required to set such triennial goals.
As part of the process of setting the DBE goal, Iowa DOT is seeking input from interested members of the public, including DBEs, advocacy organizations, and other contractors and stakeholders (including those not currently certified as DBEs), regarding their knowledge of the availability of DBEs, and regarding their experience in doing or attempting to do business with the Iowa DOT. The feedback gathered will form part of the basis on which Iowa DOT sets its DBE goal.
