Beginning on November 4th, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be hosting five meetings around the state where the public can learn about the department's recently completed study on disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) participation -- and minority- and women-owned business participation more broadly -- on contracts funded by the Federal Highway Administration.
In addition to learning about the Disparity Study, attendees will be able to ask questions, offer verbal or written testimony regarding their experiences working with the department, and suggest ways that Caltrans can better support small business and DBEs.
