New York to host MWBE expos around the state
Published on 02/18/2016

Starting on March 10th, New York State will begin its third annual Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) Opportunities Expo Series, where MWBEs can connect with representatives from New York State agencies and access technical assistance.

"Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises play an integral role in New York’s economy and our administration is committed to helping these businesses thrive," New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo said. "The Opportunities Expo is one of the ways we are providing MWBEs with the resources they need to start and expand their businesses, and create jobs for New Yorkers. I encourage all who are eligible to take part in these events and learn more about how we are increasing opportunity for businesses across the state."

Expos will be held in the Capital Region, Mohawk Valley, Southern Tier, Western NY, and Long Island.

At the expos being held in Albany and Binghamton, the state will be holding Disparity Study community meetings where attendees will be presented with the results of the study.
