The Business Outreach Committee (BOC), a consortium of Bay Area transit and transportation agencies, is inviting the public to participate in a roundtable discussion regarding the efforts of BOC members to level the playing field for disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs).
Members of trade associations, chambers of commerce, builders exchanges, and technical resource groups have all been invited to join in this discussion.
Topics that will be addressed include how the BOC can improve it's outreach to DBEs and the DBE certification experience.
The meeting, which will also include discussion of each BOC member agency's triennial DBE goal for Fiscal Year 2017-2019, will be held at the Alameda County Transportation Commission, 1111 Broadway, 8th Floor, Oakland, CA on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Following this meeting, the BOC will host an informational session from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. regarding upcoming contracting opportunities with each agency and to receive public input on each agency’s DBE goal-setting processes.
