-The Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Airfield and Terminal Modernization Project (ATMP) will provide airfield and terminal improvements, enhance airfield safety, and improve the passenger experience. The ATMP will replace inefficient and outdated remote gates with new state-of-the-art facilities, redirect airport traffic from local streets to new dedicated roadways, make needed taxiway improvements without moving any runways, and increase business opportunities.

The Landside Improvements Project is an integral component to the ATMP and overall ground transportation system for LAX. It comprises of the design and construction of over 18 lane-miles of at-grade, grade-separated, and elevated roadways which will replace the entry and exit into LAX's Central Terminal Area. The proposed landside improvements are located in proximity of Sepulveda Boulevard, Century Boulevard, Jetway Boulevard, and 96th Street

This is a 2-stage Progressive Design-Build Contract. Stage 1 consists of design development, site investigations, permitting, constructability reviews and agency outreach. Stage 2 will be the construction phase of this project



Requested scopes include, but are not limited to the following and should be based on Contract and its amendments: Subcontracting Opportunities Including But Not Limited To: Topography, Survey, Utility Survey, Property & Building Survey, Geotechnical Investigation, Environmental Consulting, Hazardous Material Survey, Photographs, Records & Research, Traffic Counts & Observations, Potholing, Ground Penetration Radar, Entering & Auditing Maintenance Holes, Exploratory Excavation, Geotechnical Design, Structures Design, Traffic Engineering Design, Utility Engineering Design, Landscape & Irrigation Design, Constructability Review, Scheduling, Document Control

Requirements: Subcontracting Requirements: Skanska - Flatiron, A Joint Venture is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourage the participation of Small Business Enterprises. We are requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers. We will assist qualified subcontractors, vendors, & suppliers in obtaining bonding, lines of credit, insurance, necessary equipment, materials and/or supplies. All DBE firms must be certified by the proposal due date. If you are a DBE Company, please provide your certification letter with your proposal. If you are a Non-DBE, please indicate all lower-tier participation on your quotation as it will be evaluated with your price. In order to assist DBE subcontractors and suppliers, we will divide total requirements into smaller packages, tasks or quantities & establish delivery & construction schedule, which will permit maximum participation when feasible. Project documents can be reviewed by appointment in our office Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00pm. Our insurance requirements are Commercial General Liability (GL): $1M ea. occ., $1M personal injury, $2M products & completed operations agg. & general agg.; $1M Auto Liability; $5M Excess/Umbrella and $1M Workers Comp. Endorsements and waivers required are the Additional Insured End., Primary Wording End., & a Waiver of Subrogation (GL & WC). Other insurance requirements may be necessary per scope or RFP requirement. Subcontractors may be required to furnish performance & payment bonds in the full amount of their subcontract by an admitted surety & subject to approval by Skanska - Flatiron, A Joint Venture. Quotations must be valid for the same duration as specified by the Owner for contract award. Conditions or exceptions in Subcontractor's quote are expressly rejected unless accepted in writing. We are signatory to the Operating Engineers, Laborers, Cement Masons, & Carpenters Unions. Subcontractors must provide weekly, one original and one copy of all certified payrolls, including non-performance and fringe benefit statements if required by law or by the Prime Contract. Please note that all Contractors and Subcontractors must register with The DIR (Department of Industrial Relations) in order to bid on public works projects. Include CSLB License Number and DIR Number on All Quotes Submitted.
