Many bidding opportunities are available. The proposed project consists of the construction of new Route 3 northbound bridge and southbound bridges over Franklin Street. The existing bridges will be demolished, and the approach roadways reconstructed. The new bridge spans are proposed to have approximately 72-foot single spans and provide a minimum of 16’-6” vertical clearance over Franklin Street. The proposed paved roadway widths are 56 feet each, with 12-foot travel lanes, an 18-foot inside shoulder and a 14-foot outside shoulder. The increased vertical clearances require the approaches to the bridges be reconstructed to meet the new bridge elevations. Franklin Street will be reconstructed within the project limits with full-depth pavement, new curbing, and sidewalks.
