Kerex Engineering, Inc. is requesting quotes from all qualified DBE & Non-DBE subcontractors and suppliers for the following items of work including but not limited to; Asphalt, Trucking, Concrete, SWPPP, Electrical, Landscape & Irrigation, Striping & Signage. The work to be performed under these Special Provisions consists of furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, materials, except as herein specified; and doing all work associated with removing the railroad tracks and ties, resurfacing, cold plane and pavement overlay, cycletrack installation, re-striping, sidewalk ADA improvements, including mobilization, demobilization, Water Pollution Control Plan (WPCP), traffic controls, debris and pollutant containment, permits, clean-up and all other associated work and incidentals required to complete the project as designated in the plans. Site cleaning, restoration, and removal of debris, equipment, and excess material from the sites upon completion of work miscellaneous work, including removal of concrete forms, disposal off-site of all unsuitable materials, and cleanup of the site.

Kerex Engineering, Inc. can assist in payment of a reasonable bond premium. A 100% payment bond and performance bond may be required for the full amount of the subcontract price. Please provide a bond premium rate with your quote. Please note that no contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and workers compensation coverage meeting the owner’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Kerex Engineering, Inc. subcontract agreement. Hector Barajas (hector@kerexengineering.com) is the Estimator for this project and is available to provide you with assistance to clarify any questions regarding the scope of work, including interpretation of plans, specifications and requirements, bid preparation and obtaining bonds, lines of credit, insurance and any technical assistance. Kerex is a Union Contractor. Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign an agreement for trades covered under our agreements.) Plans, specifications and project requirements may be reviewed at our office in Martinez. Project Requirements: By submitting a proposal, the bidder affirms that they have carefully examined all the bidding documents/Addenda and that from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work.
