This project involves the renovation of the Japantown Peace Plaza located at 1610 Geary Boulevard, San Francisco between Geary Boulevard and Post Street. The plaza is a major cultural landmark in San Francisco and onsite structures like the Peace Pagoda monument are historic. The outdoor plaza is over 30,000 square feet in area and built over a parking garage. The scope of work includes demolition of the existing plaza down the structural roof slab, seismic retrofit of structural concrete, installation of new below grade drainage and waterproofing.

It is the intent of Wickman Development & Construction to reach to participation goal for the Small Business Enterprise (SBE) program of at least twenty percent (20%) for the project. This project has a Prevailing Wage and Project Labor Agreement(PLA) requirement.

Union Affiliations: Wickman Development and Construction is signatory to the Carpenter’s and Laborer’s Unions of Northern California Master Agreement. All sub-contractors who intend to bid scopes of work to Wickman Development and Construction that fall under the Master Agreement of these unions must also be signatory to these unions or we cannot list them for that portion of work.
