East River Connect is a Joint Venture between Barnard Construction Company, Inc. and Iovino Construction Partners JV.
East River Connect is seeking DBE, SBE, WBE, and MBE subcontractors and vendors that are certified with any appropriate directory with NAICS / product code(s) and have registered with Amtrak on their procurement website https://procurement.amtrak.com prior to bid date.
The East River Tunnel Rehabilitation Project will restore the two tubes that were damaged by Superstorm Sandy. The work will modernize the tunnel infrastructure, improving safety, reliability, and security and bring the systems to a state of good repair. The project will involve demolishing the existing tunnel systems down to the concrete liners, followed by reconstructing and modernizing all tunnel systems. For this Project, East River Connect (ERC), a Joint Venture between Barnard Construction Company, Inc. and Iovino Construction Partners JV, is soliciting for all scopes of work on the project including but not limited to supply and install of safety, scheduling, quality and testing, staffing, photography, construction noise and dust control, construction fencing, sanitation facilities, site security, temporary offices, office supplies, cleaning, survey, small tools, construction equipment and supplies, general construction, traffic control, site clearing, drilled shafts and micropiles, tunnel instrumentation, saw cutting, trucking, demolition, hazardous materials remediation and disposal, asbestos remediation, lead containing materials remediation and disposal, environmental compliance, water treatment, cast-in-place concrete, reinforcing steel, ready-mix supply, concrete pumping, precast concrete, tunnel leak repair, structural steel, miscellaneous metals, doors and hardware, louvers, epoxy coatings, signage, fire extinguishers, fire suppression, fire life safety, plumbing and drainage, HVAC, electrical, communications, electronic safety and security, track and signal, third rail, overhead catenary system, SCADA, stray current monitoring, startup and commissioning, earthworks, paving, fencing and gates, and all other scopes of work.

We advise all interested subcontractors and vendors that the scope letter and preliminary construction/supply schedule should be provided no less than 2-3 weeks before the Owner’s bid date, and the final pricing proposal including a construction/supply schedule should be provided no less than one week before the Owner’s bid date.
