Project Details

Sundt Construction, Inc. (Sundt) is accepting bids for the GMP 031: Mass Excavation and Sewer Relocation defined in the Contract Documents and other associated parts of the work included as part of the Nashville Metropolitan Water Services (MWS) Process Improvements at Omohundro Water Treatment Plant (WTP). The Project is generally described as new construction of a Drinking WTP located at 1400 Pumping Station Road, Nashville, TN 37210 as indicated in the Contract Documents. Sundt is seeking and encouraging qualified, disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs) for all areas as listed below.

The following are scopes associated with this Work Package:

- Bypass pumping as required
- Installation of 60” DIP sewer pipeline
- Drilling, blasting, and excavation of bedrock associated with sewer relocation
- Abandonment and removal of existing underground utilities
- Construction of concrete trench plugs and manholes
- Dewatering of excavations
- Excavation, shoring, and backfill of pump station foundation.

Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) - This project will receive WIFIA credit assistance; therefore, must comply with all federal laws and regulations. This includes a Notice of Requirement for Affirmative Action to Ensure Equal Employment Opportunity (Executive Order 11246) located at 41 CFR § 60-4.2. See Exhibit R_WIFIA Requirements for further detail and WIFIA Goals below for female and minority for each trade percentage goals:
- MBE - 15.8%
- WBE - 6.9%

Equal Business Opportunity Program (EBO) - The EBO program seeks to increase government spending with black, brown, and woman owned businesses in the Metropolitan statistical area. For Metro contracts, the program sets percentage targets for minority owned (MBE) and/or woman owned (WBE) subcontractor participation. Refer to EBO Goals below for project targets:
- MBE - 10.0%
- WBE - 7.0%
