Project Details

This project's objective is to improve mobility, accessibility, and safety for bicyclists and pedestrians along a 3-mile section of Florin Road between Franklin Boulevard and Power Inn Road. By reconstructing medians (narrower) and bus stop pullouts (wider), pavement resurfacing and delineation to provide bike lanes in addition to vehicular lanes, reconstructing sidewalks and ramps at signalized intersection corners, updating pedestrian crosswalk signal heads and push buttons, installing traffic signal video detection, and new streetlights, the project will achieve these objectives.
Martin Brothers Construction is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Traffic Control, Water Pollution Control Plan, Concrete, Pavers,Traffic Signals & Street Lighting, Signage, Striping, Landscape & Irrigation, Cold Planing, Slurry Seal, Adjust Utilities, Sawcutting, Quality Control, Trucking and Supplier Quotes on all Required Materials per Project Plans & Specifications.
Quotations will be broken down into comparable packages as reasonably necessary. Martin Brothers will work with interested subcontractors to identify opportunities to break down items into economically feasible packages. 21% DBE Participation Goal for this project



Martin Brothers Construction is signatory to Operating Engineers, Cement Masons and Laborers. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Martin Brothers Construction will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Martin Brother’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Martin Brothers Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator. All interested companies must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and have a current CLSB at time of bid.
