Project Details

Jett Industries, Inc. (Jett - Contractor) is assembling a bid for Glendale Pump Station Upgrade PS-304 with The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP- Owner) and extends this Request for Quotes (RFQ) to all firms (Bidder) to provide labor, materials, and/or equipment for the Project as described in these bid packages.
· Access to Bid Documents
Project documents and Scope details will be posted to the Files tab of Building Connected.
· Issuance of Addenda by NYCDEP
Jett will upload addenda to Building Connected internet site as received by the owner. A notification through Building Connected will be sent to Bidders. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of addenda in writing on Bid Proposal form or their quote.
· Requests for Clarification
Any Bidder, no later than the date posted on the Project Information Page, may submit questions for interpretation or clarification of, or addenda to, this Bid. All requests must be submitted in writing and sent by email or as a message through Building Connected
· DBE Goal:
This project has a 20% DBE participation goal. Kiewit Infrastructure Co. encourages disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) firms to quote our projects, as well as subcontractors and materials supplier who contract with our firm and utilize DBE subcontractors and vendors for work to be performed.

The Project includes the following Work:
Principal Items of Work:
a. Structural Work: Repairs to existing concrete, including application of a waterproofing coating to interior surfaces, and miscellaneous concrete work for new equipment pads, fence footings, and ductbanks.
b. Civil Work: Construction of perimeter fencing, bollards, permeable pavers, asphalt removal and replacement, buried ductbanks, and buried piping; restoration of areas impacted by construction.
c. Architectural Work: Miscellaneous repairs to existing access floor hatches, installation of fall protection devices, signage installation, fire extinguisher installation and painting.
d. Mechanical Work: Replacement of slide gate, submersible pumps and pump controls, valves and piping; Installation of new permanent bypass piping.
e. Electrical Work: Replacement of the electrical service, demolition of existing electrical equipment, installation of all new electrical equipment in an above grade electrical enclosure, automatic transfer switch, station lighting, conduit and wires, and electrical ductbank; Procurement of a mobile generator.
f. Instrumentation Work: Installation of new field instruments, pump control panel, SCADA system panel, process monitoring cameras and all associated controls programming and instrumentation input/output signals and devices.
g. Other Work: Construction of a temporary pumping system as needed to facilitate the Work.

Waterproofing

Additional Project Details:
This Contract is funded under the New York State Revolving Loan Program (SRF), and is subject to the prevailing wages under NYS Labor Law Section 220 and the prevailing wages under United States Davis-Bacon Act. If there is a conflict between the wage rate set forth by the Davis Bacon Act or the wage rate established pursuant to §220 of the NYS Labor Law, the contractor shall pay the higher rate

The Bidder will be required to quote in compliance with all project plans and specifications. Non-Disclosure Agreements are provided when applicable. Addenda is posted and notification is sent to all invited bidders.

Insurance Requirements
Upon award, Subcontractors must provide insurance in accordance with our subcontract agreement. A copy of the subcontractor agreement can be found in Building Connected Project Plan Room.

Bonding Requirements
For subcontracts the Bidder shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds equal to the full subcontract price. For Material Contracts, the bidder shall furnish Supply Bonds in amount equal to full Material Contract price. Bond premiums are reimbursable by Kiewit/Mass. Electric Construction Co. Jett Industries Inc.
Please provide current bond rate with Quote/Proposal or advise if you are unable to bond so that we my address this issue.
