California Engineering Contractors Inc (CEC) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to:
Item 25: Clearing and Grubbing; Items 58-63: Deck Rehabilitation and Polyester Overlay; Items 21-23: Demolition; Items 11, 82, 83: Temporary Signals and Lighting; Item 24: Temporary High Visibility Fence; Item 67: Minor Concrete; Items 36-38, 84: Painting; Item 29: Furnish and Erect Precast Concrete Sidewalk Panel; Item 34, 35: Rebar; Item 3, 75: Roadside Signs; Items 1,7,8,19,74-81 Traffic Striping and Pavement Markers; Items 55,68,69,70-73: Structural Steel; Items 30-32,39-54: Structural Concrete Repairs; Items 14-18:SWPPP Item Work; Items 4-6,9-13: Traffic Control and Devices

CEC requires 100% Payment & Performance Bonds from a single, treasury-listed surety subject to our approval. CEC will pay bond premiums up to 1.5%. Please include a bond premium with your quote. All Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting the contract requirements, and must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Please include both your State Contactor License No. and DIR No. on your quote. Subcontracts awarded on this project will use CEC’s standard subcontract form without modifications
Plans and specifications are available for viewing in our Pleasanton office between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM Monday through Friday by appointment. They may also be obtained from the Caltrans website or our Dropbox File sharing server. Please contact us for instructions on downloading from Dropbox.
