California Engineering Contractors Inc (CEC) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to:
Item 69: CIDH Piling; Item 31: Clearing & Grubbing; Items 162 â€" 171: Concrete Barrier Rail; Items 59-60: Concrete Paving; Items 100-101, 173: Demolition; Items 62,64-68,98; Drilling & Shoring; Items 6,32,41-43,50-58,61,63, 116-117,127-129: Earthwork, Grading & paving; Items 185-195: Highway Electrical; Items 21,22,45-49: Erosion Control; Items 135-137, 155-158: Fencing; Item 88: Joint Seals; Items 30, 153-154, 159-161, 172: MBGR; Items 118-126: Minor Concrete; Items 99,134: Painting; Items 81-87 Furnish and Install Precast Concrete Girders: Items 89-93: Rebar; Items 7,141-152: Roadside Signs; Items 70, 94-97 Sign Structures; Items 1,10,13,29,138-140,174-184: Traffic Striping; Items 18-20, 23-28 SWPPP Item Work; Items 8,9,11,12,14-17: Traffic Control and Devices; Item 44, 102-115,130: Drainage and Utilities

CEC requires 100% Payment & Performance Bonds from a single, treasury-listed surety subject to our approval. CEC will pay bond premiums up to 1.5%. Please include a bond premium with your quote. All Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting the contract requirements, and must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Please include both your State Contactor License No. and DIR No. on your quote. Subcontracts awarded on this project will use CEC’s standard subcontract form without modifications
Plans and specifications are available for viewing in our Pleasanton office between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM Monday through Friday by appointment. They may also be obtained from the Caltrans website or our Dropbox File sharing server. Please contact us for instructions on downloading from Dropbox.
