General work description: The work, in general, consists of demolition of existing bituminous and concrete pavement; construction of new PCC full strength pavement section (13,950 square yards) and bituminous shoulder pavement section, including joint sealing; miscellaneous site grading and turf restoration, as needed; taxiway pavement markings installation.

This project has a 15.3% DBE goal. In addition to request for participation from Certified WBE/MBE subcontractors and suppliers, Granite requests Non-DBE subcontractors to provide lower-tier DBE subcontractor and/or supplier participation. Bidders are encouraged to indicate lower-tier DBE participation, as it will be evaluated as part of their quote.

Granite Construction Company is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Cement Masons Teamsters and Carpenters unions. Granite may require 100% performance and payment bonds for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite Construction will assist with bonding costs for subcontractors. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, DIR number, insurance, and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements.
