The goal of the Project is to improve transportation options and mobility for residents and visitors trying to move within the City of Baker, to designated points of interest or other zones outside of the City of Baker or trying to connect with the CATS fixed-route system. The Project also looks to explore opportunities to optimize transportation network efficiency, define a role for alternative and emerging mobility services and prepare for future transportation technologies.

We are looking to work with DBE companies who are currently certified with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development for Vehicle Servicing, Uniforms, Janitorial Services, Commercial Cleaning, Automotive Detailing Services, Drug Testing, Employee Background Checks, First Aid/PPE Supplies, Auto Parts.

For the purpose of this Contract, the AGENCY will accept only DBE’s who are:
a) Certified, at the time of bid opening or proposal evaluation, by the [certifying agency or the Unified
Certification Program (UCP)]; or
b) An out-of-state firm who has been certified by either a local government, state government or Federal government entity authorized to certify DBE status or an agency whose DBE certification process has received FTA approval; or
c) Certified by another agency approved by the AGENCY.

DBE Participation Goal - The DBE participation goal for this Contract is set at 11%
