REHABILITATION AND NEW CONSTRUCTION OF BROOKLYN VERRAZZANO NARROWS BRIDGE RAMPS

The Work of this Contract is design-build services for rehabilitation and new
construction of Brooklyn Verrazzano Narrows Bridge (VNB) ramps. The Work is
more fully described in the PRDC.

Area A: Eastbound Mainline & 92nd Street Exit
The deck widening will be required. Such widening will require floor beam and pier modifications, .A retaining wall to the south of the EBU.

Area B: New Belt Ramps
Construction of these ramps will include new foundations, piers, bearings, structural steel, concrete decks, concrete barriers, noise barriers, chain link fence, standpipe, lighting and drainage.

Area C: Belt Parkway Tangent
This work will also include installation of new barrier mounted chain link fence, noise barriers, steel repairs, painting of the superstructure steel, cleaning and coating of the piers, overhead lane use signal structures, lighting, standpipe, and drainage.
The JJ Carty Park features including hardscape, site furnishings, and basketball courts.

Area D: Existing Belt Parkway Horseshoe
The concrete deck and barrier of the Belt Parkway will be replaced. This work will also include replacement of overhead signal structures, chain link fence, bearings, painting of the superstructure steel, cleaning and coating of the piers lighting, drainage, and standpipe.

Area E: New Yard Entrance and Exit
Deck, barriers, bearings, lighting and drainage.

Installation of MUTCD
compliant traffic signage, pavement markings, and security traffic cameras to
achieve 100% roadway coverage of the new and rehabilitated ramps.

Concrete, Rebar, Electrical, Plumbing, Steel & Steel Erection, Signage, Site Work, Fencing & Noise Barrier, Survey, Noise Mitigation
