Kiewit Infrastructure Company (KIC - Contractor) is assembling a bid for the Mt Hope Bridge Cable Dehumidification Project in Bristol County, RI with Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge (RITB - Owner) and extends this Request for Quotes (RFQ) to all firms (Bidder) to provide labor, materials, and/or equipment for the Project as described in these bid packages.

Project Description:
Installation of main cable dehumidification and cable shields. Project includes the AECOM/Amann & Whitney dehumidification system design.

Scopes of Work to be completed under Contract No. 21-09B:
Cleaning and Wrapping of the main cables
Sealing of cable bands, cable bent saddles, tower tops and anchorage castings
Design and installation of controls and monitoring system
Design and installation of the plant room and equipment
Design and installation of the electrical components
Installation of fiber optic network using existing and new fiber optic cables
Surface preparation and painting of steel
Installation of dry air piping and structural supports
Sealing all anchorage openings and installing new airtight doors
Design and installation of temporary access to main cable at high and low levels
Installation of new Portsmouth Anchorages stair tower
Replacement of handropes and stanchion posts
Internal inspection of main cables
Replacement of all cable band bolts
Installation of new backstay cable bands
Anchorage concrete and crack repairs and select waterproofing
Anchorage roof perimeter safety railing installation
Replacement of decorative lighting
Security enhancements to the anchorages and suspended spans

There is a Disadvantages/Women-Owned Business Enterprise Program for this Project. The percentage goal for this project is 15% of the overall bid price.

The Bidder will be required to quote in compliance with all project plans and specifications. Non-Disclosure Agreements are provided when applicable. Addenda is posted and notification is sent to all invited bidders.

Insurance Requirements
Upon award, Subcontractors must provide insurance in accordance with our subcontract agreement. A copy of the subcontractor agreement can be found in Building Connected Project Plan Room.

Bonding Requirements
For subcontracts the Bidder shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds equal to the full subcontract price. For Material Contracts, the bidder shall furnish Supply Bonds in amount equal to full Material Contract price. Bond premiums are reimbursable by Kiewit/Mass. Electric Construction Co. Jett Industries Inc.
Please provide current bond rate with Quote/Proposal or advise if you are unable to bond so that we my address this issue.
