Project Description: The Work generally consists of raising the generator and electrical equipment to an elevation greater than the 500-year flood elevation, housing the new generator and electrical equipment in a new 2-story structure adjacent to the existing structure, and upgrade pump components and associated pumping equipment. The new building is to be installed adjacent to the existing brick building and pile supported with piles extending outside the limits of the existing subgrade vault. The existing pump station is to be operational at all times and therefore temporary power is required during the construction. The Work will also require coordination with PSE&G Electric for the electric cut over, utility companies for relocation of overhead utility lines, and coordination with a simultaneous contract for work that will occur for the City of Hoboken to upgrade the waterfront area along Sinatra Drive, between 4th Street and 5th Street.
